Meeting Make-Ups
Regular meeting attendance is an important part of being a Rotarian. Rotarians are expected to have a 60% or better attendance rate, wtih 30% of the meeting being at the members home club.
Meeting Make Up Policy:
You can fulfill your attendance requirements by attending another club's meeting anywhere in the world, by doing an online Rotary International meeting, or by attending a Rotary Club activity anytime during the two weeks preceding or following the meeting you missed at your home club. If you are attending a club outside of Oshkosh, you will need to get a make-up card or a statement from the club you attended at the time of your visit. If you decide to do an on-line makeup, please email the meeting make-up to the secretary.
Rotary club activities are things like attending committee meetings, volunteering for a Rotary sponsored event, attending a board meeting, or attending a club social.

HOW DO I LOCATE A CLUB OUTSIDE MY AREA?
Go to rotary.org. Click on the tab at the top named club locator. Click on the advanced search and type in the name of the city you are looking for and then use the drop down tabs to indicate the country and state or province.
HOW DO I MAKEUP UP A MEETING ON LINE?
Go to rotary.org. Scroll down to the General Information section and click on the Makeup Missed Meetings heading. Click on the Rotary e-club Web site heading. Choose a meeting from the list of clubs that are participating in the e club meetings and click on it. Click on the make up tab and follow the directions listed.
WHAT IS THE BANNER EXCHANGE?
Rotarians traveling to distant locations often take banners from their home club to exchange at makeup meetings as a token of friendship. We encourage club members to participate in this. If you are going to be attending a club outside of your local district, ask the club secretary for a banner. When you attend the distant club, inform the person taking attendance that you have a banner to present when you register as a guest. The distant club will usually reciprocate with a banner from their club. Bring that banner back with you and let the club president know that you have a banner to present from the club you visited. The banners are given to Wilber Scoville for mounting and logging into the database. |
